The Devil’s Door Into Spiritualism

Spiritualism-the idea that the living can make contact with the dead-has been a popular topic in Western culture for the past few decades.  Several American TV programs have been based on this theme, including Medium, Ghost Whisperer, and Crossing Over With John Edward.  The Harry Potter books turned J. K. Rowling from a mom on welfare to a billionaire in just five years!

Spiritualism is also big business!

But is spiritualism’s basic premise really true?  Is it possible for those of us among the living to make contact with friends and loved ones who have died?  An even more basic issue is whether the dead are even conscious, which would be necessary in order for contact to be possible.

Steve Wohlberg responds to these and similar questions in his article, “The Devil’s Door Into Spiritualism,” that begins on page 32.
